Launching on the first of November, the Vipp hotel offers a one of a kind design experience, with a twist. Unlike traditional hotels which offer many rooms in one location, Vipp offers unique rooms at various destinations. “Our destinations all share the same goal: we want to invite people to experience first hand our philosophy of good design in a place out of the ordinary." -Kasper Egelund, CEO at Vipp
The first two Vipp hotels are located in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Immein in Sweden. The stunning space shown above and below is a 400m2 Copenhagen loft designed by renowned Danish architect David Thulstrup. Refined architectural details and contrasting raw timber beams provide the perfect setting for the iconic industrial Vipp kitchen, lighting and accessories. Beautiful furniture such as the Clerici chair by Konstantin Grcic for Mattiazzi and The Tired Man sheepskin easy chair by By Lassen further enhance the warm and inviting space.
For the second location on offer, guests can retreat to the incredible Vipp shelter located in the Swedish Wilderness. A unique and detailed design space framed by beautiful natural landscape, this is the perfect setting to unwind and recharge.
More destinations for the Vipp hotel are already in the making. ‘Our ambition is to have a palette of destinations with rooms curated to people who seek a one-off design experience, or customers who want to try to live with the Vipp kitchen in a home-away-from-home sitting. A Vipp kitchen is for life, but you can start with just a weekend", Kasper Egelund explains. The ultimate 'try for you buy', I love this concept.
Sadly I can't make it to the launch in Copenhagen but a stay at the Vipp hotel is now on my must-do list!
