Although it would be nice, you don't need to be house hunting in London to enjoy perusing the website of London Estate Agency The Modern House. Specialising in 'design-led' properties their listings and journal offer an ongoing source of incredible inspiration. Last week I discovered a new listing that left a lasting impression. Powerscroft Road designed by Daytrip Studio is an elegantly transformed Victorian townhouse in East London, with a beautiful bespoke kitchen, artfully curated spaces and landscaped gardens.
Featuring a warm materiality rich in texture, the kitchen combines Douglas fir cabinetry with honed Evora marble. Polished concrete flooring runs seamlessly through to the outdoor patio, adjoining a lush garden arranged over two levels designed by Lauren Tyler of Tyler Goldfinch.
Restrained yet intimate, the interiors exude a tactile elegance enhanced with lighting by Fabio Cristini of There's Light, beautifully curated furniture by Béton Brut and art and styling by Laura Fulmine. Clean lines and raw materials are softened with a calming palette, natural textiles and sculptural forms.
Design: Daytrip Studio / Curation & Furniture: Béton Brut / Styling: Laura Fulmine
The bathroom features stunning Calacatta marble from Mandarin Stone, paired with Studio Ore taps and fittings.
