Danish design house Brdr. Krüger has opened the doors to its new showroom and concept store in the heart of Copenhagen. Located in the historic Rococo style buildings of the Odd Fellow Mansion, it is the first time, since the company's founding in 1886, that the entire Brdr. Krüger's furniture collection can be experienced in one place, outside the workshop in Værløse, Denmark. The interior, designed by the new Danish duo Bunn Studio, sees the mergence of Brdr.Krüger's traditional craftsmanship and timeless design with the stylistic Rococo frame of the mansion's historic architecture. The beautiful curation includes designs by OEO Studio, Studio David Thulstrup, Hans Bølling, O&M Design and Rasmus Fex, complimented by lighting from Nuura.

As masters in fine woodworking, developing and producing furniture in the family workshop in Denmark for five generations, the Brdr. Krüger showroom is a tale of timelessness. While creating an eclectic staging, Marcus Hannibal and Louise Sigvardt of Bunn Studio have struck a balance between the classic and the forward looking, much in the spirit of Brdr. Krüger.

Starting out as a small woodturning workshop in Copenhagen in 1886, five generations later Brdr. Krüger continues to be family owned and operated. With a passion for good craftsmanship, the company collaborates with some of the world's best design talents to create timeless furniture. The opening in the heart of Copenhagen is in a way a return journey, but mostly it is an opportunity for design enthusiasts to experience Brdr. Krüger's design, knowledge and values. Jonas Krüger, fifth generation and Creative Director says "The historical address matches our heirloom, but we also want to be relevant in the present, while pointing forward. Both our design and craftsmanship are enduring, so the next generation can also benefit from it."

As the showroom's lighting partner, Nuura's design compliments the elegant Brdr. Krüger's universe with beautiful material compositions such as brass and opal glass. With shared values in balancing function with sensibility, the two companies have a unique synergy that will no doubt enrich the experience of visitors.

Bunn Studio has in close collaboration with Brdr. Krüger designed and customised solutions in the showroom, with materials and colours designed to create a homey gallery space. Wall panels are designed with reference to the classic ornamentation in the architecture of the Odd Fellow Mansion, while the choice of interior materials such as limestone unites the building inside and out.

With carefully composed hues, layers and varying lengths, the curtains convey a new interpretation of the draperies of the Rococo period. The textiles are designed by Louise Sigvardt from Bunn Studio for Kvadrat, and are made by &Drape.

Known for their tradition of experimenting with artists in the modern field, Brdr. Krüger showcases several striking pieces in the new showroom. The “Phoenix” sculpture was developed in close collaboration with artist Farshad Farzankia, using offcuts from the production of Brdr. Krüger. In addition, a large painting by the same artist compliments the showroom. The “High Eccentricity” pedestal was developed in close collaboration with Tomas Libertiny

Located at Bredgade 28, Copenhagen, Brdr. Krüger welcomes all design enthusiasts, both professional and private.
