Superfront Wood Collection x Japandi

In January this year, Superfront launched their acclaimed Wood Collection. Now, the Swedish company continues to inspire with a new series of Japandi style imagery created by stylist Sophia Bratt and photographer Osman Tahir. The minimalist designs of the Wood Collection — designed for Ikea's cabinet frames — are styled against muted tones alongside a beautiful curation of design pieces and textural elements, resulting in an inspiring mix of home settings that artfully blend Nordic and Japanese styles.

"We just love the warm sense of nature that the Japandi style creates, but also the perfect imperfectness that is part of this style. Like bringing in a piece of stone or a dried pea pod into the styling – or whatever beautiful nature has created – and then mix this with the new Wood Collection. It simply blends so well together” — Mick Born, co-founder of Superfront.

I love how this style fusion sees elements from different eras sitting comfortably side by side. For example, there are mid-century design pieces like the Indochine armchair by Charlotte Perriand and contemporary pieces like the handcrafted objects by Begian designer Arno Declercq.
