As you can see the blog has undergone that change I mentioned a couple of weeks ago! Designed by Ana Degennar of Blog Milk, the beautifully crafted, customisable theme has made for a smooth transition. I've been a big fan of Ana's work for a long time, having featured her as a favourite pinner and blogger back in 2012. I knew that that when it came time for a fresh new look, Ana's minimalist approach would provide the best fit for my aesthetic and what I wanted to achieve. There's still some tweaking to do, and a new banner design in the works, but I'm thrilled with the result so far. I hope you like it!
Continuing along the path of making changes, I wanted to tell you about the latest Urbis, the renovation issue. On sale today, the NZ design magazine known for its sophisticated design and inspiring interior features, is packed with a stunning series of homes that have each been given a new lease of life. One of my favourites is the gorgeous Scandinavian inspired Melbourne home featured on the cover. Owners Simone Haag, the design and communications manager for Hecker Guthrie, and husband Rhys Haag have beautifully transformed the 1960s cottage, while still retaining its original charm.
Of course this is just a taste of what's on offer. In addition to seeing more of these homes, Urbis will take you through many other inspiring spaces, show you the latest in books, motoring and gadgets, introduce you to lots of interesting people, and show you just how cool our capital city Wellington really is. A must-read issue, go grab yourself a copy today and enjoy!

When it comes to the very best new objects and furniture, Urbis always delivers the hottest new finds in their Shorts section. A fitting title for such a stunning light, the Ay Illuminate pendant lamp from Indie Home Collective is this issue's Object of Desire.
A truly amazing family home, this villa in the Auckland suburb of Mt Eden has undergone a major refurbishment. Maintaining its heritage aspects, the extensive new spaces have a striking modern aesthetic, thanks to the incredible vision of owner Tomi Williams, an interior designer.
