I love the way our bedroom catches the afternoon sun, beckoning me to grab a book or magazine and lie down for a read and doze on the weekend. Of course much like morning sleep-ins, afternoon naps have pretty much become a thing of the past since having kids, but every now and then when it happens, it's pure bliss. I think this is why I'm drawn to bedrooms that have beautiful windows. We close up our rooms at night, so why not let the light in during the day, and cosy up in some beautiful bedlinen with a good book?
My jaw dropped when I saw this beautiful bedroom from the Malvern House by Robson Rak Architects. Currently short-listed in the 2015 Australian Interior Design Awards, it is easy to see why! Photo by Lisa Cohen via Vogue Living Australia.

The shutters are so pretty! I'm also drooling over the Dinesen flooring that runs throughout this late 19th century Scandi style home in Fulham. I highly recommend checking out the full house tour over on Remodelista. Photo by Rory Gardiner.
