I'm sure most of you will be familiar with the remarkable work of Pia Ulin. One of the first photographers I ever profiled here on TDC, Pia's impressive career spans more than 20 years. Gaining a reputation early on for using only daylight, her images have a warm and natural touch often associated with a Scandinavian aesthetic. Dividing her time between her studio in Brooklyn, New York, and her family in Sweden, she works with a variety of interior stylists and on international interior publications. These include two of my favourite books Monochrome Home with Hilary Robertson and The Kinfolk Home.
One of 35 incredible residences featured in The Kinfolk Home, this home is simply awe-inspiring. The natural light and warmth of the wood has been captured beautifully by Pia. Isn't the effect on the staircase dreamy? What I would give to one day own a Flag Halyard chair... all I can say is that I highly recommend buying the book to see more!
Loving the darker mood of these photos showcasing the stunning Vipp Showroom in New York.
All photography by Pia Ulin
One of Pia Ulin's many commercial clients is Sonos, for which she photographed the new range of PLAY speakers. Captured with incredible clarity, I love the fresh yet relaxed style of these spaces. See more of her inspiring interiors portfolio here.
