I've been admiring the inspiring work of Melbourne-based Architect Rob Kennon since featuring this striking home earlier in the year. Sharing one of his most recent projects today, Lees House in Northcote, Victoria, you'll see the distinct similarities in terms of style and materials used.
I love the clean contemporary aesthetic and use of raw materials including exposed concrete and plywood. The warmth of the predominantly pale wood surroundings are offset by grey and black accents, providing a unique edge and contrast. The black cabinetry and tapware in the kitchen is one of my favourite features. Not just visually appealing, the Art Deco home has been designed with programmed spaces specific for individual functions. Everything looks and sounds so impeccable, it makes me want to move in and test it out!
