Based in Gothenburg, House of Beatniks was founded by Pernilla Algede, a talented graphic designer and photographer. A self-confessed free spirit with a passion for all things extraordinary, Pernilla is inspired by her travels around the world as well as her years living in Melbourne, which she cites as being one of the most creative and wonderful cities in the world. Having admired her graphic posters and photographic prints for some time, I was excited to discover her latest collection, Space for Nature. As the name suggests Pernilla's inspiration comes from nature, but for this series she wanted to touch on this subject at a deeper level. In contrast to the increasingly digital and fast spinning world we live in, she thinks many of us would do well to get closer to nature. To each day notice the magic that lies in the simple and natural. I couldn't agree more!

The stunning new photo prints are calm and restful, but they also convey an incredible depth and sense of drama. Photographed in the Swedish countryside, the series consists of three works; Behind the Pines, The Path and In the Ocean. Pernilla enlisted stylists Elin Kickén and Evalotta Sundling together with photographer Osman Tahir to create these beautiful images. While the dark wall provides a wonderfully moody backdrop, the addition of interesting textures and shapes further compliment the prints' striking elements of nature.
