Today I'm going to introduce you to a fantastic new service by Dulux which allows you to order Large Colour Swatches online. Wanting to give my all-white home office a change, but knowing how important it is to test the paint colour at home first, this free service has been a real game-changer. The often daunting and time-consuming process has become a whole lot simpler, and with no need for sample pots, a lot less messy!
I started by visiting the Dulux Colour Wall where there are hundreds of paint colours to choose from. With some of my favourite Pins as my current inspiration, the 'Whites & Neutrals' and 'Greys' provided plenty of options for what I was after. You can order up to four swatches at a time, so I narrowed down my choice to a light grey and dark grey, both with green undertones, a beige and a 'greige' (grey/beige combo). Decided on my four colours, I simply added them to my Sample List as I went along. I then clicked on the 'Order Swatches' button, added my details and a few days later they arrived. Too easy!
Next came the fun part. With not a paint brush or test pot in sight, I simply grabbed my washi tape and placed the large swatches on my wall. Knowing how much my office light changes throughout the day and night and how this effects the appearance of colour, I moved the swatches around the room and took note of how the colours looked at different times of the day.

The Dulux Colour Swatch service has been hugely beneficial in helping me make that important final decision, and what's more I really enjoyed the straight-forward and hassle-free process. I wouldn't hesitate to use it again for future projects.
Look out for Part Two where I will reveal the new look!
