Fresh + Functional Kitchen Designs

Often I look to my favourite architects and interior designers for new kitchen ideas to share, but lately I've come across some fresh ideas from kitchen design companies. With a focus on design and functionality, they are also pushing the boundaries in terms of materials and colours. The first is Naked Kitchens located in Norfolk, England. Their Ladbroke kitchen shown below features a gorgeous combination of deep green and walnut timber with bronze and Carrara marble overlays. The minimalist design centres around practicality and efficiency with a breakfast bar and plentiful storage. The limed oak floor is also stunning.

IKEA has long been an affordable solution for those wanting ready-made kitchen designs. In recent times, two Danish companies &Shufl and Reform have begun individualising the IKEA kitchen with unique designs built to last the distance. Reform has collaborated with three major Danish Architects who have each designed a gorgeous kitchen model based on a shell from IKEA. Their kitchen by Norm Architects which I have featured before is a favourite. These kitchens below by &Shufl feature high quality MDF materials and integrated handles. I love the gorgeous range of colours which include Ash, Mushroom, Pewter, Grey, Charcoal and Burgundy.

I've mentioned the VIPP kitchen many times before. I love the stainless steel benchtops and contemporary modular components which can be combined and modified to suit individual needs. Some fresh new VIPP kitchen inspo recently landed in my inbox so I thought I'd share a couple; 'Workspace Food Prepping in Copenhagen' and 'Countryside Cooking in Brittany'. I'm sure like me you never tire of seeing their beautifully sleek designs.
