Specialist homeware chain Adairs is heading to NZ and last week I attended the exciting launch. Held at a beautiful private residence here in Auckland, I shared a little peek of what we were treated to over on my Instagram. With over 140 successful stores across Australia, Adairs is popular for its large selection of fashion-forward and high quality bed linen, towels, cushions, throws, contemporary homewares, wall art and furniture. An exciting addition to the NZ homeware market, Adairs is set to launch online this month, followed by the opening of the first retail store at Sylvia Park in Auckland. With their arrival in NZ coinciding with the unveiling of Adairs' new Spring/Summer 2016 collections, I've picked out some of my favourite looks for the new season.

The themes of Desert Skies and Tribal Gathering embrace hand painted graphic patterns and the use of natural fabrics and textured weaves. Soft, weather-worn pinks and terracotta tones sit alongside greens and mints with monochromatic patterning, creating a vibrant colour palette that will appeal to all tastes. There's also a big focus on blue this season, with soft pastels and chambray through to darker, inky tones. Natural materials and textures include linens, pale timber, earthenware and lots of plants. From monstera leaves to succulents and cacti, Adairs blur the lines between indoor and outdoor, providing the perfect inspiration for the warmer months.
