This morning I attended the Città Winter Collection preview 'ELEVATION - Home Beneath Bolivian Skies'. Inspired by the natural wonder of Bolivia which is rugged, raw and impossibly beautiful, the new collection focuses on rich textures, and warm, moody colours. Though pared back, the design has a beautiful softness thanks to sumptuous materials including wools, linens, velvet and woven textiles. A subtle reference to the 60s sees bold shapes and simple geometrics and plaids collide with exaggerated weaves and knits. All in all, the perfect combination of pieces to create a cosy haven this winter.

As is usually the case when I attend the Città previews, I was swooning over all the textile products. A few standouts for me were the Hand Woven Cotton Floor Cushions which, pictured above, feature eye-catching bold graphics in black and beige. Currently obsessed with anything velvet, I'm also eyeing up the new cotton velvet cushion covers in my favourite colours Forest, Scoria Tint and Russet. Of course the Città Rugs never disappoint and the Lanta Hand Tufted rug (featured in the stunning living room scene above) and Rayas Hand Woven Cotton Rug may be my favourite two yet! In the bedding department I was immediately taken with the luxe Washed Velvet Square Stitch Quilted Throw which comes in range of gorgeous hues including the delicate Mushroom colour pictured below.

Città's talented in-house furniture designer David Moreland talked us through some of his new designs for Winter, including the Ombre Pendant Light series which features a refined hand-blown glass shade and central oak barrel. The clean lines of the new Linear Grid Tables really struck a chord with me, as did the beautiful new dark green Aspen Chair. Also new to the collection is the Eve Sofa, an elegant but relaxed design combining a fine frame, matte black steel legs and feather and down cushions. 100% NZ made and available in five beautiful fabrics, its modular options present a myriad of living possibilities.

David Moreland has also started designing smaller homeware pieces, like the stackable Gaussian Vessels shown below. Perfect for housing jewellery and treasures of all kinds, they feature a cylindrical shape and curved handle, striking a pleasing balance between form and function.

Just a taste of what's on offer, keep an eye out for the new collection arriving in stores and online now.
