Three Beautiful Bedrooms with Workspaces

It's not uncommon to see workspaces in the bedrooms of Scandinavian homes, especially compact apartments. When there isn't enough room for a dedicated workspace, the master bedrooms are often large and airy enough to create a space that is personal, but also and private and free from household distractions. If your bedroom is also a little tight on space, it is still achievable, as demonstrated in this first home. The long, narrow DIY desk faces the window and combines a beautiful dark timber work top and metal filing cabinets. On top sits the exquisite Taccia Lamp by Flos which gets me every time. The wall between the kitchen and bedroom has been replaced with a floor to ceiling bookcase which enhances the openness and sense of space in the small but stunning home.

Fitting into the large and airy bedroom category mentioned earlier, this light filled bedroom easily accommodates a work space. Vintage desks fit perfectly with older style homes, while the natural timber of the Wishbone Chair ties in with the Ikea Sinnerlig Pendant to create a cohesive look.

Understated and elegant, the soft grey palette gives this bedroom and workspace a serene feel. The perfect surroundings for promoting productivity while working!
