Recently I started looking for a shelving solution for our downstairs living room update. The new Bordeaux console table by BoConcept came to my attention, and drawn to the minimalist design and clean lines, I promptly went in store to check it out and ended up taking one home to test out. The narrow width makes it perfect for our compact room and what's more, the greige hue blends seamlessly with our new Dulux paint colour. Once it was styled (take a look here), I was so happy with how it looked decided I had to keep it. Just one of many styles and options on offer, here's a look at some more from the Bordeaux range.

Designed by Morten Georgsen, Bordeaux has a light-weight and minimalistic structure. While its size makes it perfect for compact living rooms, the hallway, office, kitchen or dining room, it's not strictly limited to small spaces. A natural 'stand alone' solution, the table above can be placed behind one of the BoConcept sofas or in the corner of a room. It also pairs beautifully with the BoConcept Lugo coffee tables and the Como boxes. What I also love about this piece of furniture it is that it has multiple shelves, providing a place to display books, art and objects.

Another new release from BoConcept is the Florence dining chair by Rene Hougaard. Derived from the latin word “Florentia", which means “the blooming”,  the chair is available in different veneers and finishes allowing you to create a unique look. While many chairs made of moulded plywood prove to be uncomfortable for longer periods of sitting, Florence, which took two years to develop, solves this issue with a folded and curved veneer design that features an organic shape. The top of the backrest is curved backwards to create comfort, while also making the stackable chair easy to grab. The slim waist of the chair underlines the organic shape and makes the backrest flexible, further increasing the high level of comfort.

Lastly here is the elegant Cupertino desk. Perfect for the home office, it features a light design with a slim table top and slender legs making it ideal for the narrow space of a hallway, as extra storage in a small living room, or even as a bedroom dressing table.
