Happy New Year! I hope you're all off to a great start. Currently in planning mode, I'm starting to get back in to the swing of things. I won't be full steam ahead until February when the kids go back to school, but I will do my best to blog regularly. While I've escaped the office and taken myself offline during the holidays, I have been checking into Instagram and as always, there's no shortage of inspiration from the pages that I follow. I find the 'save' feature really great as a reference tool, and when I look back over my saved images I see a beautiful curation of spaces, art, objects and fashion. Much like a (secret) Pinterest board, you can use this feature to help hone in on your preferred aesthetic, saving ideas for your home and wardrobe. Seeing my love of natural palettes, organic shapes and interesting textures continuing through to 2018, I'm really excited about the year ahead. With styling projects on my mind (and a change of climate when I travel to London at the end of the month),  I've picked out a few recent saves from some of my favourite Instagrammers.

A modern and minimal cluster house created by Norm Architects, The Gjøvik House is located on a majestic hill side north of Oslo, facing the Norwegian woods and Mjøsa lake. A humble structure made up of six interconnected blocks that act as 'cosy cubes', the property blends beautifully with the harsh yet peaceful surroundings. The simple interior blueprint showcases the soft minimalism that Norm is known for with grey textured walls, polished concrete, warm wood and earthy textiles in shades of sand and stone. Subdued yet cosy, the overall look and feel epitomises the Scandinavian concept hygge.

At Home | A New Plinth for Downstairs

It's no secret I'm a big fan of plinths, and at the end of last year I purchased another outdoor plinth to use indoors. It was a dark grey colour which was perfect for a bedroom shoot I was working on (coming to the blog later this year), but I was keen to paint it a softer colour afterwards for home, specifically for our downstairs living room. Using some leftover DuluxKauri Cliffs Double paint from our downstairs makeover, the plinth provides a seamless look while still managing to elevate the room. I love that such a simple DIY can be so impactful. It also covers up the ugly power point and provides a place to display favourite objects, books or flowers.

As always I'm intrigued at how the paint colour in this room changes throughout the day in different light. I took these photos in the late afternoon with sun streaming through the windows and I love how warm and tonal the room looks. I had lots of queries about the shelves on Instagram yesterday, so in case anyone missed the original post, it is the BoConcept Bordeaux Console Table

The Swedish interior brand Tell Me More have launched a new collection for the Nordic Springtime and the images are so pretty and textural I had to share. Founded in 2012 by couple Annalena and Marcus, the Tell Me More collections are a mix of earthy colours and patterns combined with a simple and light Scandinavian style. Working with craftspeople from around the world, the growing range of products includes gorgeous linen bedding, handmade baskets and ceramic pots. I love the dreamy bedroom below with the sun streaming in. The low bed is beautifully layered with a mix of bedding in crisp cotton and soft crinkly linen, atop the cosy Oyster Wool and Linen rug

The Tell Me More office and showroom is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, where they also run an interior store named Market 29. For more information take a look here.

A Beautiful Finnish Home with Clever Details

Aside from the obvious interior beauty of this bright and airy Finnish home, the architectural elements are really interesting. At first I thought it was a new build, but judging by the original curved window in one of the living areas, it's more than likely a renovation, and an inspiring one at that. I've always loved built-in shelves but there are also little alcoves that cleverly break up the walls to let in light and provide little nooks for plants and objects. The interior features beautiful Artek furniture and lighting by Finnish designer Alvar Aalto - the Artek Aalto Tea Trolley never fails to impress. Along with classic Wishbone chairs by Hans J Wegner, Marimekko glassware and Dinesen flooring, the home exudes style, while timber elements and earthy ceramics bring in plenty of warmth.

How amazing is the built-in wine rack? There's also a luxurious bathroom and sauna that you must see. Take a look here

January Cravings

January marks an exciting time in the design world with many of my favourite Scandinavian brands launching new collections for Spring 2018. The design fairs have already kicked off, with new products launched at IMM Cologne, soon to be followed by Stockholm Design Week. Needless to say, the wish list is growing by the day. I've picked out a few favourites from Danish brands Menu&Tradition and Skagerak, along with some stunning new sculptural pieces from Swedish brand Odem Atelier

A New York Style Loft in Sweden styled by SundlingKickén

Apologies for being MIA last week. As you may have seen I was in the UK with Jo Malone (more on that soon) and being school holidays I was unable to schedule in posts before I left. I returned yesterday to a long weekend here, and I'm now in catch up mode, excited to pick up where I left off. This beautiful interior work by SundlingKickén caught my eye on Instagram while I was away, and knew I'd have to share. Currently for sale on Alvhem, the apartment's former life as a factory gives the Swedish home an edgy warehouse style. With its exposed brick walls, concrete beams, black industrial glass wall and roof terrace, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was located in New York. The talented duo chose a beautiful collection of furniture including the Gubi Masculo armchair, the Skagerak Cutter stool, the Septembre sofa from Menu and the Panthella table lamp from Louise Poulsen. A enviable mix of art and objects, including stunning handmade ceramics by Birgitta Janesson provide the perfect finishing touches.

News of a lovely new art store, Nord Projects, landed in my inbox while away and I'm very happy to spread the word! Founded by Gothenburg-based freelance artist and designer Josefin Holmgren, Nord Projects has launched with a collection of diverse works across four 'projects'.  Because I am currently obsessed with minimalist line drawings and abstract paintings, there are two categories that really resonate with me right now; the Simple project which includes minimalistic line drawings that capture the beautiful shapes and lines of the human body, and the Swim project, comprising paintings with feminine shapes and soft colours inspired by women during summer vacation.

Inspired by nature with beautiful textures, the one above is from the Grain project. The art prints are available in a range of sizes with international shipping. Visit Nord Projects to shop the full collection.

Chairs | Three New Picks

We're already one month into the new year and the design news is flowing steadily. Working my way through the inbox, including many for the upcoming Stockholm design week (sigh), I thought I'd start by picking out a few favourite chair designs, from some of my favourite Nordic brands.

The first is a 1950s classic by Arne Jacobsen, the Pot lounge chair. Relaunched by Fritz Hansen with the purpose of complementing contemporary interiors with its ‘50s signature sculpture, Pot was designed along with the iconic Egg and Swan for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1959. With improved comfort, modern materials and available in new playful fabrics the low, comfortable lounge chair is modern yet timeless.

“The Pot is the forgotten chair, which deserves a relaunch. I see the chair as one of Jacobsen’s quieter and floating designs - almost like a leaf in the air. The chair is surprisingly comfortable and spacious and the slightly modified 2018 version of the Pot is a compliment to Arne Jacobsen’s more modest design style and a beautiful example of less is more.” -Christian Andresen, head of design, Fritz Hansen.

Images courtesy of Cult

Pot is available to order now from Cult showrooms in Australia and New Zealand.

A new release by MENU for their SS18 collection, Connected Spaces, the Harbour Chair was designed by Norm Architects. Conceived during the design process for MENU’s new creative destination Menu Space located in Copenhagen’s thriving Nordhavn (Northern Harbour) area, Harbour strikes a perfect balance between geometry and organic shapes. Providing plenty of versatility - the result of being designed for a multipurpose office, showroom, cafe, co-working and event space - it also provides comfort with a beautifully slim and elegant silhouette.

Available in six shell colours, leather or textile upholstery and four leg options, the beautiful beige upholstery and black steel base variety is my favourite. Definitely on the wish list for my office!

Images courtesy of MENU

Another Danish brand that never disappoints, &Tradition has released some stunning new furniture pieces for 2018. I featured their Loafer lounge chair in my January wish list, and the Pavilion is another chair that caught my eye at that time. When asked to design a stackable chair for the historic, multi-functional venue, The Langelinie Pavilion, Norwegian designers Anderssen & Voll wanted to link classic modernism from the building's 1950's construction to a new modernism. Seen from any angle, the Pavilion chair creates a light, lyrical, graceful silhouette. The slim arms and legs exude an airy feeling, matched by a gentle curvature of the veneer seat and back. Available with or without armrests, the choice of wood veneer or versions upholstered in a variety of textiles or leather types allows for a personal touch in an endearing design that doesn't impose itself on its surroundings.

The touch of green velvet upholstery in this dining room setting is divine!

Cosy up your Home with Autumnal Hues from Dulux

I loved working with the Dulux Kinship palette for this room concept last year. Such warm, rich hues, it comes as no surprise that this collection of colours will set the scene for Autumn 2018. Although still hard to imagine right now, there will soon be a chill in the air here in NZ, and as long nights settle in there is no better time to up the cosiness factor in your home. Combining sophisticated earthy shades with light neutrals alongside tribal-inspired textured furnishings, the Kinship palette is perfect for creating a cocooning and nurturing space this season.

Bedroom features Dulux Cardrona, Moteuka, Glinks Gully, Tikitiki and Maiko

For those who are just coming on board, Kinship is one of four key themes that make up the Dulux 2018 Colour Trends, and consists of rich hues inspired by traditional cultures and folklore. It features warm terracotta, russet, soft grey-greens, cosy neutrals and pops of vibrant red that hint at an Eastern influence. It pairs beautifully with the natural materials that are so popular right now – warm timbers, stone and linens.

“This colour palette exudes warmth, but in a sophisticated and contemporary way. It is easy to work with, allowing you to add character with minimal fuss,” says Davina Harper, Dulux Colour and Design Specialist.

“If you’re nervous about the idea of introducing deep colours to your space, you needn’t be. You’ll find that even a small amount of these richer hues against a white or neutral background, in the right spot, can make a big impact,” Davina says.

Bedroom features Dulux Cardrona and Maiko

Whether you choose to go all-out with these deeper shades or just add a few touches here and there, the key is to pair them with a complementary white or neutral that boasts similar undertones. This will create a sense of balance, allowing the bold hues to enhance rather than overwhelm a space. For example you could paint your fireplace surround or create an eye-catching feature wall with one of the bolder colours in the Kinship palette, such as Dulux Very Terracotta or Motueka, and keep the other walls soft and neutral. Or, for a more low-key effect, pair a muted green such Dulux Hildegard or Herbalist with a cool white.

These aren’t the only spots around the home where you can use small doses of colour to great effect; consider repainting the front door, the edge of shelving, a storage nook or around a door frame. Or create a stunning tonal vignette for very little outlay by painting a medley of op shop vessels in similar shades of the one colour and displaying on a hallway table or mantelpiece.

Living and Dining rooms feature Dulux Cardrona, Glinks Gully and Motueka

As a contributor to the Dulux Colour Trends 2018, I share my top tips for making these rich, autumnal hues work in your home.
  • Offset rich colours with a soft, complementary neutral to create balance.
  • Introduce furniture and accessories in warm, natural materials, such as a vintage timber console or dresser, rattan chairs, woven lighting and baskets. Bold abstract art, textured wall hangings and plenty of greenery provide the perfect finishing touches.
  • Up the cosiness factor by adding in lashings of texture – think oversized knits, luxurious velvets and linens.
  • Seek out cushions and rugs that pick up on the earthy shades in the Kinship palette, and layer them for impact.
  • Bring a fun, folkloric style to the space with patterns, embroidery, fringing and tassel detailing.
  • Use accents of black in furniture and artwork to ground your scheme.

Living and Dining rooms feature Dulux Cardrona, Glinks Gully and Motueka

Such an easy and affordable way to keep your interiors up-to-date, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone colour-wise can be incredibly fun and rewarding. And remember, if a colour isn’t what you’re looking for, you can easily change it!

A small and intimate space, it has been cleverly designed with distinctive corners and special areas to meet the needs of different parties and moods.

Northern Launches Debut Collection

It's Waitangi Day (a public holiday) here but I woke to yet more exciting news in my inbox. A must-share before heading outdoors to spend the day with my boys, Northern (formerly known as Northern Lighting) have officially launched its new lifestyle brand. Following an already impressive 12 years of success, the award-winning studio has extended their trademark style to furniture and interior accessories with a brand that is set to take their Nordic spirit to interiors around the world. Their first collection debuts at the Stockholm Furniture Fair and showcases the beauty of natural materials, classic sensibilities and an edgy approach to contemporary design. Here's a look at some of the beautiful pieces on offer.

Based in Oslo, Norway, the new brand was established by Ove Rogne, CEO and co- founder of Northern Lighting, and developed with creative direction from designers Morten Skjærpe Knarrum and Jonas Norheim, the duo behind the Morten & Jonas design studio. For two years, the designers worked collaboratively with Rogne to establish a new brand characterised by a bold interpretation of classic forms and a determination to innovate with natural materials. Together with a team that includes 16 designers from seven different countries, they have addressed the demand for understated luxury and the consumer need for multifunctional designs.

‘Our first design studio was always about more than illumination. We pushed the boundaries of shape, form and materials so far that furniture design and interior accessories just felt like a natural next step. So we called it Northern.’

The debut collection includes statement-making designs, such as the exclusive desk by Yonoh crafted from smoked oak and perforated steel. Multifunctional products, such as the upbeat modular shelving and storage system from Rudi Wulff, and the sleeper sofa by Morten & Jonas, add more flexibility to the interior. Swedish design studio Färg & Blanche stand ready for cocktail hour with their gleaming bar cabinet. Products from designers such as Mario Tsai, Gridy, Cecilia Xinyu Zhang, Kyla McCallum, Vera & Kyte, Elina Ulvio, Stine Aas, Mattias Stenberg, Ann Kristin Einarsen, Johan Lindsten, Johanna Forsberg and Sami Kallio complete the range of the collection.

Object Blanc | A New Collection by Atelier Cph

Copenhagen-based creative studio Atelier Cph have released a beautiful new art print collection, Object Blanc. Inspired by research trips to France and Finland, the collection centres around the idea of Gesamtkunstwerk which, translated as 'comprehensive artwork' or 'all-embracing art form', means a work of art that makes use of multiple disciplines.

"We discovered that there was an interaction between some of France’s great modernist painters and sculptors, Fernand Léger, Hans Arp and the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. We got inspired by the use of abstraction that these artist experimented with and the connection between the South and the North".

Experimenting with more organic abstraction for this collection, Atelier Cph explore the layering of the colour white, with collages and hand painted canvas. The artworks feature graphic and organic shapes created by contrasting colours and the new tone on tone whites. This collection also sees the introduction of two new colours, a soft grey and warm brown.

Nespresso on Ice

I developed a taste for Nespresso iced coffee during the heatwave in Spain last year so was really excited to learn of a new Nespresso limited-edition iced coffee collection coming our way for summer. Easy to prepare and incredibly refreshing, the Nespresso on Ice has become my go-to on hot afternoons at home.

Featuring two variations inspired by the Mediterranean lifestyle, Leggero on Ice is aromatic and delicate, with fruity notes, while Intenso on Ice is intense and rich with developed coffee and roasted notes. Naturally gravitating towards the intense, my favourite way of preparing Intenso on Ice requires very little effort, which I love! Forget the whipped cream, sticky syrups or unnecessary trimmings often associated with traditional iced coffee; Nespresso’s iced coffee is all about simply great coffee, ice and the addition of either cold water or milk. As you know I happily drink my coffees with or without milk depending on my mood, but for today's post I've prepared one with water, in just three easy steps.

Using the Nespresso on Ice Limited Edition ice cube tray to create ice cubes, I put three straight into my glass - the Nespresso Pure Recipe Glasses are perfect - and then add 40ml of Leggero on Ice coffee, followed by 90ml of cold water. A quick stir and that's it!

Getting back into work these last few weeks, I've developed an afternoon ritual of moving from my hot little office to the dining table with laptop in tow. Here I can open all the doors and windows and and cool down with a delicious Nespresso on Ice.

Even better, I'll take one out to the deck and catch up on some reading in the sun.

Styling and photography by Michelle Halford for TDC

For a milk alternative, simply swap the cold water for 90ml of cold milk froth, which can be made with the Nespresso Aeroccino3Or for those of you who are intense coffee lovers, try extracting two coffees in 25ml instead of one in 40ml.

Discover more at Nespresso and remember to always recycle your capsules by taking them to your nearest Nespresso Boutique or participating collection points.

String | New Imagery + Ideas

Having worked with String for many years, Swedish stylist Lotta Agaton created a complete String House for Stockholm Design Week. The incredible display, of which I've seen many beautiful images shared on Instagram, shows the versatility of the iconic shelving units, and was designed to go hand in hand with the new campaign imagery. With impeccable styling by Lotta, these were shot on location at the Villa Frösakull by Jonas Lindvall. Showcasing how the shelves can be used in different areas of the home, I've picked out a few favourites to share with you today.

You all know how much I love our String System, but these have got me thinking about other opportunities at home. The bedroom and wardrobe layout is amazing, but I'm also loving the laundry set up. Ours is calling out for these wall-mounted shelves. The String+ accessories such as the hooks and organisers would also be really useful. For plenty more ideas and inspo, visit String

Jo Malone London School | A Photo Diary

$

As many of you will know I recently travelled all the way to London to attend the Jo Malone London School. Those following along on my Instagram stories will have caught the highlights, and finally I've been through and picked out some to share with you here, starting with the photo below that was taken the day I departed. The height of summer, I had the challenge of packing for a completely different climate and although I had been given a dress code and rough timeline for the two day and night event, I had very little idea of what was about to come!

As a longtime fan of Jo Malon London, I've been attending the product launches here in Auckland for several years and they never fail to impress. The quality of the products and attention to detail is incredible, and having the opportunity to visit the Jo Malone London headquarters was such an exciting prospect. Arriving on the Monday, I checked in to London's most iconic hotel Claridge's, located in the heart of Mayfair. To say I was blown away by my suite would be an understatement. Created by royal designer David Linley, the Claridge's Suite - complete with stunning entrance hall, spacious sitting room, a luxurious bedroom, separate dressing room and marble bathroom - has an undeniable elegance and sense of grandeur. Needless to say, I very quickly eased in to my beautiful surroundings and made myself at home.

A warm welcome with afternoon tea (and the first of several scones I would consume during my stay), I was delighted to see a card and gorgeous gifts from Jo Malone London. There was also a timeline for the next two days detailing our 'very British education' that would commence the next day, alongside a beautiful monogrammed notebook.

Heading down to the Claridge's lobby the following morning, I got to meet the first of many wonderful new people from Jo Malone London, along with fellow bloggers from all over the world. Stepping outside, there were many squeals of delight at seeing white Jo Malone London cars all lined up in a row. Our transport for the next couple of days, the first stop was the Jo Malone London Townhousedesigned by Rose Uniacke (pictured above). A beautifully elegant Georgian townhouse, here we were treated to a delicious "Full English Breakfast", introduced to the headmaster "Mr Tonka" and split into school houses. Very happy to be in 'The Peonies', our house headed off for the day to visit four surprise locations around London.

At the beautiful Jo Malone London Boutique in Sloane St, Chelsea, I discovered some new 'home' products I hadn't yet experienced including linen spray (a must for dinner parties). I also learnt about the art of fragrance combining. A fun process, I ended up with a favourite combination of Peony & Blush Suede and Wood Sage & Sea Salt.

Other locations we visited included the Just Because Arcade (complete with Jo Malone London arcade games and prizes) and The Grenadier pub, where I continued my very British education by learning to pull a pint! The last stop and my favourite of the day was The Tea Room. Located in Sydney Street, Jo Malone London had created the perfect cosy space to enjoy high tea, including the best scones and fudge I have ever tasted! There were also the most gorgeous iced Jo Malone London cookies which you can check out below.

That night we attended The Arts Club in Mayfair (pictured above, left) where we were treated to a Scented Supper consisting of three delicious courses and an amazing live band. As always the table and place settings were exquisite, even including napkins monogrammed with our initials.

Enjoying the luxury of a bath, something I rarely do at home, was another highlight of my stay at Claridge's. With more Jo Malone London products than I had time to try, I did discover a Jo Malone London Bath Oil which is a new favourite! Making the most of my suite, I also enjoyed leisurely room service breakfasts. This included a surprise one morning when my scrambled eggs arrived inside a brioche topped with caviar. Not something you get to have everyday, it certainly made for a pretty picture!

On day two we headed back to the beautiful Jo Malone London Townhouse, but we were amazed to see it had been completely transformed overnight. Featuring a full school set up, there were black and white lockers, class rooms with old-style wooden desks and the most gorgeous lunch room where we enjoyed individual lunch boxes filled with club sandwiches and yummy treats.

The first 'class' of the day was learning how to box, which is not as easy as it looks. I had a lot of fun (and a wee bit of help) along the way, and was quite proud of my finished boxes below. Inside one is a treat to gift to someone 'just because', and the other houses my favourite fragrance combination that I selected the day before.

I loved seeing how the candles are made from start to finish, including the hand-pouring of the wax. Carrying out the finishing touches of stickers, bows and boxing ourselves, a surprise twist was seeing our own Instagram handles engraved on the lid.

I've always wanted to create my own wreath, and at the Jo Malone London School I had my chance! In celebration of the upcoming launch of English Fields, we had a sneak preview of the five limited edition fragrances in a beautiful class room surrounded with wheat. Capturing the essence of the English landscape, these scents are truly divine.

Arriving back to the hotel I found a gorgeous package and card from Poppy Delevingne. Actress, model and Jo Malone London girl, Poppy would be hosting our pub quiz dinner later that night. Just a little bit excited to meet her! What's more, inside the box was the new English Fields fragrance set we'd been introduced to earlier that day. How pretty is the linen pouch and pastel coloured bottles?

Held at The Albion, the traditional Pub Quiz and dinner was a fun and relaxed night. Poppy was incredibly down to earth, happy to chat and take photos with everyone. Sitting with my fellow housemates The Peonies, we ended the night on a high note by winning the pub quiz!

Arriving back to yet another beautiful gift left in my suite, I was thrilled to unwrap a cashmere scarf by N.PEAL monogrammed with my initials. Perfect for the long journey home.

I was lucky to stay on in London for a couple of days before returning to NZ, and since then the kids have finally gone back to school and I've hit the ground running with the blog and projects. A trip I will cherish always, my visit to the Jo Malone London School was the most amazing way to start the year!

Porteous' Studio by Izat Arundell

Catching a glimpse of this inspiring project on Instagram, I was compelled to reach out to the designers to find out more. Luckily for us they were very forthcoming and I'm excited to share it with you today. Formerly an 18th century blacksmiths workshop located in the historic heart of Edinburgh, it has been transformed into a minimal holiday retreat using natural materials and local craftsmanship. Porteous’ Studio is the first project by Izat Arundell, a small design practice encompassing architecture, craft and food set up by Eilidh Izat and Jack Arundell.

As one of the last remaining undeveloped spaces in the Old Town, Izat Arundell spent months designing a simple layout with quiet aesthetics to create an escape for visitors to the Scottish capital. Featuring exposed structural details, a muted palette and natural materials of stone, wood and clay, the interior strikes a beautiful balance between clean functionality and warm, textural interest.

This sense of harmony is further enhanced by bespoke furniture and fittings that feature throughout the studio. Izat Arundell commissioned friend and cabinet-maker Namon Gaston to design and produce all the furniture from a single native oak tree in order to achieve consistency in tone and grain, allowing the eye to read the pieces as one. Namon also worked in collaboration with Richard Anstice of 56 North Bespoke Kitchens to create the bespoke kitchen and sliding timber screens, and Peter Holmes of Be Seated for the beautiful upholstery.

Going back to those timber screens, this was one of the architectural elements that immediately drew me in, along with the incredible screened pivot door. The result of a clever repurpose of the original opening, it provides both privacy and views to the atmospheric Grassmarket. Furthermore, the sliding screens were used internally to conserve space and create a secluded sleeping area.

While the north facing orientation of the main entrance casts soft, diffused light across the studio throughout the day, a new window opening was created through a meter thick stone wall to bring evening light into the space and to give views of the stunning wych elm tree in the adjacent garden courtyard. Providing a beautiful textural finish, the Clayworks natural plaster used throughout the studio further increases the quality of light.

Photography by ZAC and ZAC

Izat Arundell intended to honour the original floor levels which ran flush between inside and out. However, due to the rich history and archaeological value of the land on which the site sits, a decision was made not to excavate the original slab. Instead, a new insulated and heated screed was laid on top, finished in small format grey limestone tiles to mirror the cobbled ground outside.

While Porteous’ Studio will mainly be used as a holiday retreat, Izat Arundell are planning a series of small events and monthly supper clubs throughout the coming year to explore ideas and to share the studio with fellow designers and makers. For more information, visit www.porteous.studio.

New + Noted

This week has been one of those week's where I've run out of days to share all the news I've been saving up. Definitely a good problem to have, and one that calls for a New + Noted post, I think they'll also be an overflow to next week!

First up is a new design practise I discovered from Melbourne. CJH Studio was founded by Cassie James-Herrick, formerly of Beatrix Rowe Interior Design and this is her first project. A family home in Melbourne, Cassie has transformed the interior to suit a young, growing family. The light-filled open-plan living and dining area is a standout with it's neutral palette, textural details and beautiful curation of lighting and furniture. An inspiring first project, I'm looking forward to seeing more from CJH Studio.

Due to be launched in April, The Ode To is already popping up on the web and I'm excited by what I see. Founded by Helena Carlberg and Anna Lukins, The Ode To will pay tribute to artistry, aesthetics and creative women, offering selected limited edition prints and items created by primarily female artists. Old friends, Helena and Anna both have a background in fashion: Helena was founded & Other Stories and has also worked for Theory Theory in New York, while Anna has worked at Hugo Boss and H&M and also as a photographer. However it was their shared passion for art that led them over a year ago to focus on this new project, with the aim of honouring beautiful design and female creation. Danish company LE KLINT joined forces with design duo Nanna Neergaard and Marie Hasseldahl from Manér Studio to create a new lamp series entitled ARC. A unique and modern collection inspired by the Grundtvig Church located in Copenhagen, the design of the lamp incorporates arches and curvatures to reflect the church's incredible architecture and regal interior. The combination of classic pleated shades and black coloured oak elements gives the ARC collection a modern twist and soft, curved shape. Encompassing the right amount of finesse and functionality to represent the lighting journey of LE KLINT, the ARC collection is the perfect series to kick-start their milestone 75th anniversary year.

Norm Architects have restored and rebuilt a historic villa in Copenhagen that was destroyed by a devastating fire. The home once belonged to renowned Danish architect, designer and cultural critic, Poul Henningsen, hence its name PH House. Brought back to life with as many original features as possible, Norm have at the same time modernised the layout to suit the lifestyle of its current owners, a family of three. With beautiful wood panelling, parquet flooring, warm teak furniture and – of course – retro PH lamps hanging over the kitchen island, this home is a stunning fusion between old and new.

I'm excited to share news from Eadie Lifestyle today, with the launch of their beautiful Autumn/Winter 2018 Collection. Inspired by the stunning beauty, simplicity and style of Denmark, it probably comes as no surprise that this range is my favourite yet. Showcasing an elegant aesthetic with a sophisticated and refined style, this season sees the introduction of new colours including timeless khaki and the beautifully soft shade of rosetta.

Continuing on from last year's hugely popular introduction of linen, Eadie Lifestyle have added the gorgeous new khaki colour to both the Eadie Lounge Series (featuring gorgeous linen sleep/lounge wear) and the Linen Bedding Series.

The new Precious Series brings a little shimmer with an exquisite metallic velvet range in the colours of precious metals. Meanwhile the light hearted Simpatico and Lulu Series are designed to lift our moods while showcasing the beauty in simplicity. As always, textures feature in a big way; from hand tacked embroidery, rich plump velvets, chunky heavy throws designed to hug you on cold nights, through to raw silk in the Skov collection that has been sourced from a remote jungle village in India, entirely woven and dyed by hand without use of machinery.

Eadie also offers a beautiful Home Essentials line that includes Linen Sprays and Luxury Foaming Washes using the highest quality essential oils.

In addition to the new collections, February marks some more exciting news for the Australian-based brand, with their fourth birthday. Hip hip hooray! Furthermore, Eadie Lifestyle officially launched in the USA this month. Now in a number of great stockists, the winter collection will be available in the USA from September 2018, and in stockists across Australia, Singapore and New Zealand by late March.
