Real Estate Round Up

For as long as I've been blogging I've been checking in on Swedish real estate sites for inspiration. They rarely disappoint, and sometimes there's even a home that has me dreaming of moving my family to the other side of the world. This luxurious Gothenburg apartment has that effect, especially the master bedroom. It features beautifully-preserved architectural detailing from the late 1800s, including ornate ceiling and wall mouldings and beautiful oak 'castle' parquet flooring. The doors and wall panels have been painted in a classic grey tone, bringing a soft contrast and calming feel to the space.

Restrained yet elegant, this large and airy apartment blends original detailing from 1914 with contemporary elements. Featuring high ceilings and huge windows, the choice of furnishings soften the all-white space through the use of textural fabrics and warm, muted colours.

Open-plan living in beautiful beige and chocolate tones makes this next home so inviting. I love the simple art which includes DIY paintings and abstract art prints, the indoor plants, ceramics and quirky objects.
