I've admired the stunning work of Melbourne-based interior designer Fiona Lynch for some time so was excited to come across her latest residential project, Balwyn House. What initially struck me about this home, besides the amazing attention to detail that Fiona is known for, is the rich colour palette and beautiful textures. Incredibly, the house was designed using large panels of burnished concrete, framed and poured on site. Complimentary materials were chosen including aged brass, oak joinery and Elba stone from Arte Domus. All very tactile yet so refined and sleek, the hard surfaces are softened with beautiful furnishings across a jewel-toned palette of navy, dark green and burgundy. As for the IC Pendant by Flos, imagine having that beauty hanging above your desk!
